Magnum Adopts Oscar

In Support of the Canadian Peregrine Foundation

This year Magnum participated in the Canadian Peregrine Foundation’s endangered falcon adoption program. The CPF’s mandate is to support the survival all endangered and threatened birds of prey including owls, hawks, eagles, falcons and vultures in Canada.

Oscar was hatched in captivity at a breeding facility in southern Ontario in the spring of 2001. Because of his fine genetics he was chosen to contribute to the breeding program and help produce future chicks for release into the wild. Oscar has also participated in the foundation’s educational programs, teaching children and adults about the importance of preserving these endangered species and their natural environments.
